Misfortunes and tragedies, historical and personal, abound as the inspiration for Lauren's Haar. The gut-wrenching low notes and tones of the cello combined with the clear and bright harp on Natal is one of my highlights. There are moments of joy, too, with Lammas Fair and Roodadoo sweeping up the listener in an energetic dance. A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor. Even though at times the needle spins around the wind rose, the right direction is wherever one chooses to walk their own path.
